Software Development Engineer


Looking for a strong candidate to be part of a Solaris Install Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing and developing install technologies like Solaris installer and upgrade, Live Upgrade, Flash, packaging tools, Jump Start.

You should have excellent communication and reporting skills and strong technical skills in C and shell scripts.

Job Description
Responsible for developing Solaris install technologies namely :
Solaris installer and upgrade, Live Upgrade, Flash, packging tools, Jump Start.

Essential Functions:

* Produce design documents, functional specifications
* Fix bugs in current install technologies, implement feature enhancements, unit test the code developed.
* Will participate in design/code reviews
* Knowledge of good software development practices
* Perform gatekeeping tasks as needed
* Capable of participating in meeting involving teams located in different geographies and time zones.
* Must be able to work independently and effectively with dynamically changing environments.

Required knowledge and skills:

* Programming knowledge/expertise on shell scripts, makefiles, Perl, Javascript, C, C++, Java
* Knowledge of Solaris internals, system administration
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Knowledge of any two of windows/solaris/linux

Experience :
3-6 years

Education :
B.S. in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.
Must have current EU passport. Interest in the best Java training available. Want to join a friendly international team. Want a high standard of living witout the costs.
